The concerns for non-violence...

"The concerns for non-violence, sustainable development, justice and peace, and care for our environment are of vital importance for humanity. They cannot, however, be understood apart from a profound reflection upon the innate dignity of every human life from conception to natural death: a dignity conferred by God Himself and thus inviolable."

A correct conscience...

"A correct conscience recognizes that there are some choices that always involve doing evil and which can never be done even as a means to a good end. These choices include elective abortion, euthanasia, physician-assisted suicide, the destruction of embryonic human beings in stem-cell research, human cloning and same-sex marriage. Such acts are judged to be intrinsically evil, that is, evil in and of themselves, regardless of our motives or the circumstances. They constitute an attack against innocent human life, as well as marriage and family."

We cannot make peace...

"We cannot make peace with the barrenness of contraception, abortion and homosexuality, precisely because these evils deny the most fundamental God-given principle. They contradict life, fruitfulness, hope; and they deny the family which exists to cooperate with God in the procreation of life."
