Failing to name error...

"Failing to name error because of some kind of fear of offending the person in error is neither compassion nor charity. Confronting or challenging the error or evil of another is never easy yet it must be done."
~ Bishop Robert Vasa, Excommunication is a declaration of acts that severs ties, January 11, 2010 ~

I become more and more convinced...

“I become more and more convinced that we as bishops have been too silent for too long. I fear that we have left in error by our silence many who could have been taught. I fear that we have often failed to 'say openly what is right because of fear of losing the favor of men.' I do not necessarily expect that the clear and consistent teachings of the Church will be warmly received and accepted by a very secular age, but the decision about whether to speak or to remain silent must be based on the conviction about what is right and true and good, not what is popular.”

~ Bishop Robert Vasa on Nancy Pelosi: There are just and unjust choices — church teaching helps ~
