As believing Catholics...

"As believing Catholics, we know that behind the murder of unborn children is the superhuman mind and malevolent will of Satan and his minions. To know this is to also know that only divine power is a match for the demonic power behind abortion. This divine power is the power of the God who became man in order, as He told us, to conquer the devil as master of the world."

The forces behind the pro-death movement...

"...the forces behind the pro-death movement are not merely human but demonic. It is imperative to understand, as Christ reminds us, that the devil was a murderer from the beginning. The evil spirit has remained a murderer all through human history, and he is the real leader behind the philosophy of homicide which now pervades whole nations of what we still call a civilized world."

Who would doubt that abortionists...

“Who would doubt that abortionists and their clients need divine grace to see the horror of their crimes and to have the courage to desist? Where can they obtain this grace? From God, of course. But in His ordinary providence, God uses persons who are in His friendship to merit for sinners — here the agents of abortion — the spiritual light and strength to return to the God from whom they have strayed.”

Abortion is not only injustice...

"...abortion is not only injustice against an unborn human being; it is the desecration of something holy. Those in the pro-life movement who are Christians believe they are defending not only the equity of a human person. They are defending the sanctity of human life and the majesty of the living God."

St. Augustine wrote a whole treatise...

“St. Augustine wrote a whole treatise on Conjugal Adultery, in which he declared, ‘Intercourse with one’s legitimate wife is unlawful and wicked whenever the conception of offspring is prevented.’”

God permits no evil...

"God permits no evil in the world without a proportionate reason. Given the magnitude of this practical atheism in the modern world, we should be confident that God will mysteriously draw immense good from the evil of abortion."

To stem this tide of abortion...

“To stem this tide of abortion will require a series of moral miracles. By definition a moral miracle is a visible effect produced by God which exceeds the native powers of the human will. We may be sure that Christ wants to work this miracle. When He rebuked the disciples, and told them to “let the little children come unto me,” He was speaking to all of us. He wants the children conceived to be born, to reach maturity, and glorify Him by their loving service. But Christ demands that we pray in faith and trust in His divine power to change hearts of stone into hearts of selfless love for the unborn.”

Whatever else abortion is...

"Whatever else abortion is, it is the tragic result of self-idolatry even to the murder of unborn children who are considered an obstacle to self-gratification. There is no possibility, without the outpouring of extraordinary grace from God, of converting, or reconverting, what I have come to call the New Pagans. The old pagans, as we used to call them, had and have a plurality of gods whom they worship. The new pagans are strictly monotheistic. They believe in only one god. That one god is the Self."

The fall of...

"The fall of the Roman Empire in the fifth century after Christ is only the best-known example of what happens to every contraceptive culture. It resorts to abortion and infanticide and ends up destroying itself as a society."

The Twentieth century...

"The Twentieth century is the most homicidal in the history of the human race. Its principal claim to this tragic title is the widespread legislation of abortion on a scale and with a violence unknown in all the ages of mankind."
